I am a qualified and experienced Primary teacher with many years teaching preschool and foundation phase. One of my favourite parts of classroom teaching was inspiring children during our daily art classes. I never tire of watching kids' imaginations spark and ignite, and then seeing their self confidence grow when they see the final result. It's so rewarding to see children explore with new products and techniques and for the child to make a mess and mistakes through the process of creating arts and crafts projects. I love sparking each child’s natural curiosity and watching the process of children creating something themselves
It has been a dream of mine to run arts and crafts classes for children and, after running numerous holiday club classes, I finally started teaching lessons from my home studio in July 2021.
As a parent, I know the challenges of thinking of new ways to engage and develop your child while trying to balance working, sporting activities and home life. And trying to limit screen time to the "recommended daily limit". I believe arts and crafts provides a healthy balance to the stressors that our children experience, its a perfect way to escape, be yourself, make new friends, be messy and learn new skills.
Most of our crafts are process based, meaning that each child will create something totally unique. we make game boards, mermaids, hobby horses and many other exciting things. Sometimes, we even paint and draw or learn a new art technique.
I believe arts and crafts needs more attention in our current world.

what to wear & bring
Creative crafting is fun and can be messy too! While we provide clean T-shirts for the lesson, its advisable to wear old clothes, just in case. Paint and other crafting materials can make a mess (although our paints are washable). Please pack something to drink.
